It has been a busy week at my full time job. I haven't had much time to write or create. I had an early start to my day taking down my exhibition at Silo's Bistro & Bar to move the work to Willow's Bistro for the next exhibition. I have several new pieces that I added to the Willow's exhibition. As usual, nothing in an artist's life ever goes as planned. But by the skin of our teeth, Ashley Saunders, owner of Art In Winston, and I were able to get the work transferred from one location to the next and hung before the first patron entered the doors. Just a few labels to add and we are set. The exhibition will run until June 30, 2015. With graduations and Mother's Day kicking off the month of May followed by Memorial Day, we have decided to hold the reception on Sunday, May 31st from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. I hope you are able to come to the reception. I welcome feed back on my new work. If not, be sure to enjoy the work while you try Willow's fabulous menu for brunch, lunch or dinner. I'm particularly fond of their brunch.
Three of my pieces sold at Silo's which was exciting news. Thank you to the purchaser. I am delighted you are enjoying my work in your home. My work was such a good fit with Silo's atmosphere that I hated to take it out. Hopefully I can show there again in the future. Big thank you to Will Kingery and the Silo's staff for supporting local artists and giving me the opportunity to show. The food is amazing so if you haven't been there, I encourage you to give Silo's a chance. You'll be a regular for sure. |
Welcome!
I'm Jennifer Nichols, a mixed media artist from North Carolina. I enjoy capturing the essence of nature through a variety of materials. I incorporate found objects such as strainers and bottle caps into my work. I am drawn to these items but it is also important to me to do my part to protect our environment by keeping things out of the land fill. Archives
